The Games Job Fair Autumn 2024 was a fantastic showcase of how the gaming industry is evolving and adapting to meet the needs of both job seekers and studios during times of change. This year's event highlighted the importance of bringing people together from all over the world, with an impressive turnout of over 1500 attendees and growing studios. Leading names like Metacore, Yousician and HypeHype joined to connect with talented individuals, making this a standout event for anyone interested in taking a next step in their career.

One of the most exciting features of the fair was its online accessibility. Hosted on LinkedIn Live and supported by our highly active Discord community, the event allowed job seekers from various locations and backgrounds to participate without barriers. Attendees could review job openings, talk directly to studio representatives, and network with fellow participants in dedicated channels. This approach gave attendees unique, real-time ways to interact with companies and peers, which is especially valuable for remote and international talent.

Creative Portfolio Review session is back!

We received an overwhelming number of requests from our Spring Fair attendees to bring back the Creative Portfolio Review sessions. With many of our participants being artists, the feedback provided during these reviews proved invaluable to their growth and development.
In response, we’re excited to host the session again!

This time, we brought together an incredible panel of experts: Kshiraj Telang (Moon Active), Olga Netsvetnaia (Magic Media), Ivan Lugovoy (Rovio), and Alexander Preuss (Magic Media). Together, they reviewed 12 portfolios in an engaging online roundtable format, offering invaluable insights and guidance to aspiring artists.

A heartfelt thanks to the City of Helsinki, Business Finland, and Game Makers of Finland for making it possible to host over 107 talented individuals at Kamppi's Innovation Home on November 8th. The day was packed with insightful talks and valuable CV and portfolio reviews, creating a productive and inspiring atmosphere.

This time around the onsite day was filled with quite a few interesting topics from the industry to share their insights and expertise on topics such as "Successful Feedback Loops in Mobile Gaming", "Yesterday's Debt and Tomorrow's Dreams," "Influencer Marketing in Gaming: Powering Success and Growth", "Reinventing Game Launches" and "The State of the European Games Industry in 2024".
